Hi guys
It’s Me
I’m Back
Welcome back. Today I will be telling you about the online Stanford course I did. I learnt a lot about maths with the course.
(Lesson 1) Knocking Down the Myths About Math
This is what I have learnt. I found out that you can't be born smart or dumb with maths, anyone can learn it. If you have a smart kid in your class who is really god at maths, but you aren't as good as them if you practise you could be up to the same stage as them. I also found out that games can be good for maths and the games that are good for maths are normally put in the boys section, when they are good for all genders.
(Lesson 2) Math and Mindset
this is what I learnt for lesson 2. I learnt that if you are called smart you will take the easy questions to do because if they took the hard question and didn't get it done right they would no longer be smart. I also learnt it is good to have a growth mindset because you will get to achieve stuff and learn more then people with fixed mindsets.
(Lesson 3) Mistakes and Speed
What I learnt in Lesson 3.It is good to make mistakes, if you make mistakes or think hard your brain will grow, If you struggle it is good you know you are learning. It is good to figure out maths at all speeds, if you are slow that is good that means you are making sure you understand everything.
(Lesson 4) Number Flexibility, Mathematical Reasoning, and Connections
I learnt. I learnt that numbers can be flexible and when you do maths it is good to reason in maths while you work stuff out.
(Lesson 5) Number Patterns and Representations
(Lesson 4) Number Flexibility, Mathematical Reasoning, and Connections
I learnt. I learnt that numbers can be flexible and when you do maths it is good to reason in maths while you work stuff out.
(Lesson 5) Number Patterns and Representations
I learnt. They should know that with maths you need a growth mindset not a fixed mindset so that you take in all the new ways of doing stuff. It is important that you look a the big idea of things and that you shouldn't think as maths being something really hard with all the strategy's and trying to remember them but you should look at the big idea for everything.
(Lesson 6) Math in Life, Nature and Work
I learnt. that maths can connect with your life like maths is in patterns, and sports, dances and lots of stuff and that it is an important part of your life. Maths is involved with animals and like spiders webs.
That was a bit about what I learnt.
Would you take this course?
But that's all for now.
BYEEEEEE
