Welcome back. Today I will be telling you about st Francis of Assisi schools leadership groups and what group I am in.

The teams are.

The Arts.

Media Team.

Googlers.

Special Character.

I am in the Media team. For the media team I do stuff to do with the media, like SOFA news, it is sharing all the newest stuff that has happened around the school in a video like the news, we also do newsletters, this is another way to share what has been happening.

To get into a leadership group we had to write why we thought we would be in the groups we had written down as our top 2. I chose the Arts team then media team, I wanted them both equally and I got media.

We meet every Wednesday morning at 8:00am.

so far we have written one newsletter each and are working on our first episode on SOFA news.

Welcome back, today I will be sharing our school Values and how to use them. Our school Values are.

Our School Values        

1.Respect

*Don’t interrupt people when they are talking.

*Fighting for what is right. Having empathy for people

3.Service

*Help other people understand everything and help people when hurt.

4.Integrity

*Be mindful of what you say and act. Do the right thing even when no one is watching.

This is our school motto

Choosing to be an innovative, Catholic, learning community that inspires and empowers learners to succeed.

You can show these by.

You can show respect by being kind and caring for the community and others, so not finding someones stuff and breaking it but giving it to them or putting it away, or you could help out by mowing someones lawn who mite not be as able as you.

You can show compassion by feeling someones pain, you may not always go what they are going through but you still can care and try to help.

You can show service by helping people when they are hurt or just helping people, like you could help set up for a assembly or help people cross the road.

You can show Integrity by doing something kind for others even when people aren't watching, being mindful about what you say and act like around other people.

Welcome back, today I will be telling you about our #choosekind theme. On Friday we went into our house colour groups to design t-shirts all about kindness, this is mine. ⇩

How you get the t-shirts.

You get the t-shirts by getting a small piece of paper.⇧

You get this paper from teachers on judy or peer mediator, they right your name on the back then give it to the persons who name is on the back. Once they kid gets the paper they will take it to the jar in the office that says #ChooseKind

Every time we have a values assembly some one will be randomly picked from the jar,
and the win the t-shirt design that was chosen.

Banqer

                                                                   I’m Back

Welcome back, today I will be telling you about this app called Banqer.

Banqer is a app where it is like a real life simulation of money, it teaches kids about stuff like
kiwi saver and how to save money, buying a house, buy a way of transport and other stuff.

For kiwi saver I chose to do medium risk and 4% would go in a week and right now I have
$40.6 In my kiwi saver.

you can get $75 by being good in class time and we get $150 each week for being a student,
you can lose money by leave stuff out of your cubby hole like hats, jerseys, sports bags,
if the teachers take them you have to pay a fine of $100 or $200 to get you stuff back.

You can buy transport to go places and not have to pay for public transport, our teachers can
say get on your transport, and if you don’t have any you have to pay someone else in the hub to take
you one there transport. You need to make sure you insure you transport and house because if you
don't insure your stuff it could get stolen or a natural disaster may happen and if it isn’t insure you will
have to pay for a new one. I have bought a bike.

For banqer you can buy houses but we are not up to that stage yet

🏊Swimming lessens🏊

Today I will be telling you about Swimming lessons. For week five and six in term 1 we did swimming lessons.

on the first day we went over to the year 1 and 2s hub to get are little swimming buddies, I was put with Alyssa.Once we got to swimming we where put into groups I was in the middle group with, Alexis,Gaby,Monique,Piper,Ruby,Andres,Jayden. We did real swimming lessens for the first seven days, and for the last three days we did water safety.

On Wednesday we got into life jackets (dry life jackets because we were the first group) and jumped in the pool with our little buddies, we did some drills (Example in Photo)

On Thursday we went on the inflatable boat, we were told how to enter on to the boat. we got on the boat then the instructors made waves like we were on a real boat on the sea, the we had to exit of the back or the boat backwards, I went back first then waited for my buddy Alyssa then we joint a huddle.

On Friday we went in our pyjamas first we needed to volunteers do demonstrate how to do what we were doing, I was the first to get in the water.We had 2 people one in the water and one with a rope, the person outside of the pool with the rope has to through it to the person in the water "drowning."
Next we did river swim with other people making waves. Then we had to take of our pyjama's without touching the floor.

And today I will be telling you about Swimming Sports. On Friday my school did swimming sports (year 5-8.)
We went down to Jelly park on a bus then started our races. I raced in year 8 girls 50 metre freestyle and 50 metres backstroke.
In both of my races I cam last but I gave it a shot and did my best

And today I will be telling you about the placemat I have done. A placemat is something I did in literacy. We had to pick three people of of the great person list and then we picked someone that may of not been on the list.
