Thailand Information Report

Introduction

This information report is on Thailand. The Thailand population estimate for 2019 is 69,693,806, it is an estimation because the last national census for Thailand was done in 2010, the 2019 population is a downgrade from there 20th most popular country in 2012 they are now the 19th most popular country in the world. Thailand is located in southeast asia. The thailand flag has 2 red horizontal stripes, 2 white horizontal stripes and 1 blue horizontal stripe in the middle.In Thai land they speak Thai, Thai is similar to chinese and veitnamese but not the exact same. In Thailand there 2019 average climate was around 30 degrees celsius. The capital of Thailand is Bangkok. The ethnic of Thailand is mainly Siamese.

History of country,Key influences and Major events

Thailand didn’t exist as a nation up until the early 1900s, before the 1900s lots of kingdoms would kied for power over the land, creating a rich history. Thailand was called the kingdom of Siam until 1939, when it’s name was officially changed to Thailand. Thailand went through another name change through 1945 - 1949 when its name was reverted to Siam, then back to Thailand on May 9 1949. One of Thailand's major events has been the Siam is born, and others like Siam on the world stage, the Siamese revolution of 1932 and Siam enters WWII. Thailand’s 2019 prime minister is called Prayuth Chan-ocha, he has been the prime minister of Thailand for 6 years, being elected in 2014.

Religion and politics

In Thailand there is no official religion, Excluding the law that states the king must be Buddhist, 95% of Thailand people are following the Theravada religion.

Theravada Buddhism is the older version of two major buddhis traditions that base their philosophies sutras, or teachings of Siddartha Gautama. Theravada means “way of the elders” in Pali, the language they used for the original teachings.  .In Thailand the parties that are linked to the thaksin have won every election they have had since 2001.

Education,Economy and Jobs

In Thailand, the state system is rated below average by the OECD, although Literacy levels are high in Thailand, with youth literacy above 98%, and over 95% of children enrolled at schooling in primary level. Thailand schools are ranked 35th out of 40. Thailand schools start a 7:15am and end at 2:30pm, and children start to arrive at school by 5:45. Jobs that are common in Thailand are, teaching, fitness teachers, profession skills e.g. dance,music,art,singing, sports therapist,professional writing,designer,photographer,diving and start your own business. Thailand has a mixed economy.

traditions,food,Attractions and Entertainment.

 In Thailand they have lots of festivals and one is called light up the night sky, it is were they let lanterns fly in the sky. When you are in thailand you should make sure to the traditional dance and theater, dances are an important part of Thais culture. In Thailand there are lots of attractions and places to go, like you could go to Phi Phi island and spend some time there, on the beach or go rock climbing. Or you could go see temples in Bangkok, or go to the floating market. The Thais most commonly like to eat rice or noodles with grilled fish.

Sport and Dance.

In Thailand the sports they play, are football/soccer,tennis,swimming,badminton and Muay Thai boxing, it is Thailand's national sport. Thai first went to the Olympics in 1952 and it is now 2019 that is 87 years. Thailand has got 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals and they have had 16 bronze medals. In Thailand they have lots of different types of dances like these, the khon,li-khe,ram wong,shadow puppetry,lakhon lek and lakhon. You can see people perform at Siam Niramit theater, The National theater, Erawan shrine and others that are all around bangkok. 

Conclusion

In conclusion Thailand is a growing country with the population of 69,693,806 and will always continue to have people come and see what they have to offer, and go see all of the attractions,dances,festivals. Or adventure around Phi Phi islands, and go to Bangkok and see some cool temples or you could go to the floating markets. If you go to Thailand make sure you check out the history like how Thailand wasn’t a nation until the 1900s, and that concludes this information report.

Welcome back. Today I will be showing you my recipe, my recipe is on Thailand Kebabs.

Title- Kebabs For the Philippines.

Synopsis/Brief description of what you have made- I have made a Philippine kebab recipe

Culture History- Kebabs are eaten for dinner in the Philippines.

Equipment- frying Pan, skewer or toothpick,snaplock bag,fridge,

Ingredients- Honey soy sauce, beef schnitzel,oyster sauce,brown sugar,garlic,salt & pepper.

Steps-

1. First thing you have to do is lay out all of the ingredients to make sure that you have everything.

2. Get your beef and cut it up into strips on meat for you to put on the skewer, you can cut as much meat as you want depending on how many kebabs you want.

3. Next you get a snap lock bag and put the meat in it, once the meat is in the snap lock bag put in as much honey soy sauce,oyster sauce,brown sugar,garlic and salt and pepper as you would like, it is what gives it flavour.

4.Put the meat in the fridge for around 12 hours, you put it in for this long so the flavour can sink into the meat.

5. When the time is up you take the meat out of the fridge.

6. Then Pan fry it for 2-3 minutes 

7.Put the meat on skewers.

8. Then Enjoy the meal

Welcome back. Today I will be showing you my instructions, these instructions are in how to play billiard, I hope you enjoy.

Billiard Instructions

Title-How to play Billiard. 

Synopsis/Background Info- Billiard is a sport that people in the philippines like to play.

What you need/Materials- you will need a billiard table which has to have the dimensions exactly like this (3569 mm x 1778 mm) like a snooker table, normally both games are played on the same table. You need three balls, 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 white and they should be 52.5mm in size. You will need a cue which can be made from wood or if you buy a table you should get it. You need players (2 players max.) Then the last thing you need is chalk.

Steps

1. First thing you do is go to the shops and buy a billiard table or make one yourself,
then after that you need to find someone to compete against, you can follow these
instructions on how to play.
2. Next you choose a ball, the red ball is no one's ball. The players can choose between the yellow
and white ball. Once you choose what colour ball you have the 2 other balls become objective balls. The aim of the game is to hit the other players ball and in three steps hit the white ball.

3.Before you start playing put chalk on the end of your cue, it makes the ball run smoother
down the table.

4. A players turn or “inning” is over if they don’t hit the other players ball and in three steps
hit the red ball.

5. To start the game you put the red ball on the pre-marked dot, The yellow ball gets placed
around a meter down the table from the red ball and the white ball goes to the left or right
of the yellow ball (it depends on where the player is.)

6. Billiards three cushion game is over after a player gets to the predetermined number of
points, you can get 2-3 points it depends on what you choose at the start of the game with
your opponent.

7. Now play the game and Have fun.

Narrative Writing

Welcome back. Today I will be showing you my narrative writing. Over the past few weeks we have been writing narratives, I will now show you mine.

“Umm Grandma Rose can you plug the maid in I want a snack” Said little 10 year old Lilly, “No lilly, you just have to get up and walk like 5 steps to get into the kitchen, you don’t need robots doing everything for you” Said Grandma Rose, “Uhh fine” said little Lilly. 

A few hours later.

“Grandma Rose can you tell me what it was like when you were 10,” said Lilly, “did you have and Iphone 20? Wait no a car? Or a room the size of a house?” asked Lilly, “ aha no Lilly I didn’t have any of those things when I was 10, but I did have an Ipod Touch, and a bike, and a room that could fit all the stuff I needed in it.” Said Grandma Rose, “oh” said Lilly “can I come back and see it Grandma Rose” said Lilly, “I have an idea Lilly, grab the teleporter that takes us to the supermarket and the tools in the shed, then meet me back here” Said Grandma Rose 

2 minutes later 

“Ok I have everything you asked for Grandma Rose” said Lilly, “Ok that's good let’s pull this apart and make a time machine” said Grandma Rose, “hey Grandma Rose isn’t your birthday coming up soon? Is it your 43” said Lilly. “Ah Lilly yes it is, it is on Sunday” said Grandma Rose, “OH NO YOU ARE GOING TO MISS YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!!” said Lilly, “Lilly don’t worry I am not going to miss it, haven’t you watched those time traveling movies it takes like a second in real life,” “oh that’s good, let's get started building this time machine,” said Lilly “that’s a good idea Lilly” said Grandma Rose.

Rose and Lilly start to build the time machine, they work for hours to make it right, when they finally think they have done it, they decide to check it by turning it on, but that doesn’t work they turn it on then it bursts up in smoke no flames just smoke, so then they go back to work and it takes hours upon hours to fix it and get it to work.

“Grandma Rose I don’t think we will ever be able to finish this” Said Lilly very tired sounding, “don't give up Lilly we can make this work” Said Grandma Rose.

 They kept working then eventually they feel asleep. Then they woke up in the morning and tested the time machine. When they tested it, it worked and they were thrilled!

“Grandma Rose, Grandma Rose, GRANDMA ROSE! It worked yay” said Lilly in an excited voice “Lilly you are right it did work this is great aha” Said Grandma Rose, I am so excited to see how you lived” said Lilly. “Lilly go and put some things into a SwagBag (I is what they call backpacks in 2052)” said Grandma Rose, “ok, Grandma Rose” said Lilly, “what should I bring, hmm this, no this, oh and this” (Lilly thinking to herself.)

“Ok Grandma Rose I am ready, let’s go!” said Lilly, “ok Lilly let’s get in this time machine” said Grandma Rose.

So Lilly and Rose hop in their self made time machine, they put in the date that they want to go back to, 28/8/2019, and then they clicked the big green button then….. Wow they were somewhere weird, somewhere new, “2019!!”said Grandma Rose. “We’re here, we’re here, WE’RE HERE!” Said Lilly, “ok Lilly let’s go and look at all of the places I would go at your age” said Grandma Rose. 

But suddenly they heard a loud noise that sounded a lot like a plane had crashed into a building. When they turned around they saw that the time machine was up in smokes and didn’t look like it would work to take them back!

So Rose and Lilly had to take to time machine to somewhere safe where no one would find it so they picked up the time machine and went on to find somewhere to put it, (the time machine is like a little round pad that they put on the ground then stand on, I know what you were thinking, back to the future and the delorean!)

“Hey, Grandma Rose look we can just fold the time machine up then put it in my swagbag” said Lilly, “smart idea Lilly” Said Grandma Rose, “ok lil-” Grandma Rose was saying as she was interrupted by Lilly, “Grandma Rose I thought you said you didn’t have ice capule bags!?” said Lilly confused, “we didn’t have ice capule bags… that is a plastic bag! Plastic bags were ruining our earth so they came up with ice capule bags instead” Said Grandma Rose, “hey Grandma Rose are you sure they didn’t duke you and just re-named the things you call plistic bags, what no you said plastic bags” Said Lilly, “OMG Lilly you are right! Wait that reminds me about all the other stuff we have now that is just remakes of stuff we already had, Lilly we have to stop this and get back to 2052” said Grandma Rose in a very concerned voice.

So Rose and Lilly went to find a warehouse so they could fix their time machine, it took them around 1 hour to fix the time machine, but once they finished they put it back down and then put in the date 28/8/2052 and headed back to fix the big problem that is ruining our earth.

“Grandma Rose do you think we can stop what you call global warming” said Lilly, “I don’t know if we can stop it Lilly but we can help to try and stop it” said Grandma Rose, “Lilly the first thing I think we should try and stop global warming by getting rid of air pollution, it is all that black stuff that you see in the air” said Grandma Rose, “Ok Grandma Rose,I learnt about all the pollution types at school in history class, so everyone obviously everyone thought that is was all gone!” Said Lilly, “Lilly let’s head to the factory’s to see if we can shut them all down and find all the workers jobs instead, let go Lilly” said Grandma Rose

Lilly and Rose got into their new and improved self driving car. They spent hours driving out into the country to get to the factory’s that produce a lot of smoke and air pollution, hours and hours go by, they fall asleep in the car. They wake up to the smell of…”Old rotting eggs, that’s what it smells like Grandma Rose” said Lilly, “your right Lilly, now let’s get back to business” said Grandma Rose.

“Lilly stay close to me, because I heard that they are now employing robots and I am not to sure how friendly they are when people walk-in at… WOW you should be in bed missy it’s 12:30!” said Grandma Rose, “ok Grandma Rose” said Lilly, so Lilly and Rose walked in and saw all of the robots making plastic bags and lots of stuff that uses in reusable plastic things. Rose and Lilly both went in and talked to the robots, they told them to go home and the robots agreed and left and they contacted the owners of the factory so they could make reusable bags and eco friendly packaging. “ ok, I will leave now bye human friends” said a worker Robot, “Grandma Rose can since you texted the owner of the company can we go and get in the car and go to sleep and go to our next place”said Lilly in a very sleepy voice, “ok Lilly, we don’t have to do much for trying to help stop sea pollution, I just have to contact the people who are already trying to clear the ocean to make them aware that the earth is getting worse, we just have to warn so let’s get in the car” said Grandma Rose.

Lilly is fast asleep in the car, but Grandma Rose is wide awake thinking about today, she thought there was no more problems with the earth, she thought they had fixed them all  

Lilly was fast asleep in the car, but Rose was wide awake, she was thinking about how she thought that our earth was safe, that we had to fix all the problems that were running our earth, but luckily Rose and Lilly were helping stop the problem, then she fall asleep.

“Ah, what a nice sleep, did you sleep good Grandma Rose” said Lilly, “yes I did Lilly” said Grandma Rose, “ok Grandma Rose, now what are we doing today saving animals, trees…?” Said Lilly, “well today I think that we should try and save all the animals that get their food from the ground, so we will” said Grandma Rose, “Grandma Rose won’t we need some tools to dig up the bad stuff” said Lilly, “your right, lets go to the hardware store and buy some tools” said Grandma Rose. So off Rose and Lilly went. Once they got to the hardware store they bought shovels and other gardening stuff, then they went out to where some chemicals get dumped and animals live. Once they get to their destination they started to dig up where all the nasty stuff was, while they were doing it they found a dead turtle, they wonder how in the world it got here, they realised it got hooked onto one of the barowls that was down by the ocean to be dumped but then came back to be dumped where they were.

“Aww Grandma that is so sad, why would people kill sweet innocent animals, like turtles” said Lilly, “yeah Lilly it is really sad but now we are helping to make a difference” said Grandma Rose. So Rose and Lilly keep digging, they were only digging up some of the soil today because on their GHM page (Go Help Me Page) they got lots of people that are going to dig up the top infected layers of dirt, they also had people cleaning the ocean because of their GHM page, so after a long day of work they got in the car and went back to their house, while they were in the car Rose put something new on there GHM page, talking about how the street lights we have are bad and ruining people's eyes and the lights aren't doing any good for the nocturnal animals.

So hours later when they finally got home they decided to have a good night sleep because they hadn’t had one of those in a while. The next day Lilly decided to get all of her friends together and with the approval of her Grandma Rose they went to the noise sound company and went and told the boss man that people are being to loud on purpose and that is killing the ears on our earth, and while Lilly was gone with her friends Rose was out contacting all the people she could to get all the street lights changed so you can see the stars and nocturnal animals will be happier, after Rose was done contacting everyone they all said the would look into and she was happy with that, so she went and picked up Lilly and they went into town and celebrated all of the stuff they had done for the earth in the last few days.

And today I will be sharing my Biography with you. My biography is on Katy Perry,
now let me show you the biography

Katy Perry

Katy Perry’s real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, she took her mother's maiden name Perry,
and she got the name Katy because people would mistake her for Kate Hudson (actress.) Katy perry
was born on the 25th of October 1984, she is 34 years old. Katy Perry was born in Santa Barbara,
California, United States, America. Katy Perry was Christian so she went to a Christian school named
Paradise Valley Christian Primary School, and she went to Dos Pueblos High School. Katy Perry’s
Mum is called Mary Perry, her Dad Keith Hudson, her brother David Hudson and her sister Angela
Hudson. Katy Perry is great because she did something she wanted to and kept trying even when she
had tough times when people wanted her to be someone she wasn't, she stuck to who she wanted to be.

Katy Perry's parents would normally travel and talk to people about God, so she grew up as a Christian.
Her parents only let their children listen to Christian music and was not aloud to watch Smurfs, Sister Act
1, or read the Harry Potter series. Katy Perry started to sing in the church choir at the age of 9. When
she got a guitar for her birthday she started singing Christian music outside of the church like at fairs and
other places, she also came out with a self titled Christian album. Katy went to one of her friends houses
and when she was there her friend put on some music (non christian music) Katy listened to the music,
she enjoyed hearing the emotion and feelings within the music. This was when she realised she wanted
to make a career out of singing.

Katy then started to try and find producers to produce her music. When she was 17 she found a producer
Glen Ballard who lived on her street. She went over to his house with her guitar. She knocked on the
door and sung him a song, he loved the way she sung and agreed to produce her music. Katy Perry
started to look for labels so she could produce some songs, they put her with a group that had recently
had success called the matrix, she did stuff with the record label but then it just stopped and they were
telling her to be Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson and Ashlee Simpson. Then someone working for the
record label over heard the label saying they can’t drop her because she will go somewhere else and
get big, Katy did just that and went to join Capitol Records.

When Katy Perry started making music her song “I kissed a girl” reached number 1 in the charts for 7 weeks and it went crazy selling 4.7 million digital copies. When katy perry started to get big with the album One of the boys she did a tour named Hello Katy. Later on Katy Perry did her first tour. The tour was called California Dreams. On that tour Katy had ups and downs along the way. Katy was on tour for 1 whole year, and sung for different countries almost every week. She loved going out and singing to people and wearing all of her bold outfits. On the tour Katy Perry met Russell and took days off of her tour to spend time with him. One day before Katy was about to go and sing Russell broke up with her. It was hard for her because she felt pain but didn’t want to disappoint all the people that came to see her, so she tried really hard not to cry and went out and sung, everyone cheered her on and she got through it.

Lots of people think that Katy Perry did this over night and had everything handed to her but that is not true, Katy Perry worked very hard and it took years to get to where she is now. Nothing gets handed to her she does a lot of work for her tours. Katy Perry is a great person because she went through a lot. She had bad times and good. She pushed and kept going because she was determined to do something incredible. She fought to do what she loves and she loves all her fans. She started off as a normal girl that had a dream.
