Caritas Reflection

Hi guys
                                It’s Me
                                                                    I’m Back

Today I am going to to be sharing back my reflection from doing the Caritas 24 challenge we chose the live it challenge but you will here more about that in my next post (It will be jam-packed!)

Question (1)
Describe your experience of our Kaupeka Caritas Challenge so far. What does “1 day of difference for a lifetime of change” mean to you?
Answer-
I think that people have it very hard since we are only doing this for one night/day not like people that do this for a lifetime, what a day on difference means to me- I am very privileged to have what I have.

Question (2)
What has been a challenge for you so far during the day and/or what might be a challenge for you during the night? How did you or how will you overcome this?

Answer-
Eating plain rice and building the shelter, we had help from parents, and I thought about the food that people get on a daily bases and that it was probably less than what we had going to sleep in the shelter

Question (3)
What connections can you make with the people of Timor-Leste/ those living in poverty from your experience in our Caritas Challenge so far?
Answer-
How much food,not having a house,sleeping bags/blankets

Question (4)
What could you do to help those living in poverty in our local community? (Think back to our City Missioner visit this morning).
Answer-
Raise money,Donate, food, water etc...
Question (5)
What have you learned about Social Justice and Empathy while participating in our Kaupeka Caritas Challenge?
Answer-
That people have a lot less then we do, and we just take stuff for granted

That is all for now guys

Cross Country

Hi guys
                                It’s Me
                                                                    I’m Back

Today I am telling you about cross country and how I had to run 3kms!!!!!!!!! And let me tell you I was hard.
Lets get back to the topic, It was on 3rd of may at Walter park (chch)and I ran with 20 other year 7 girls and I came 16th my goal was to be in the top 15 but I was out by one. It was very long and hard for me because I made a bet with my dad that if I don't walk I would get Burger King(or hungry Jacks If you are Australian) so I did it, and lucky I did not walk so I got Burger King.
After that I went over to my year 3/4 buddy and made sure she ate her food and drank most of her water.
After that we went back to school (we walked there and back)

But that is all for now BYEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
