And today I will be telling you about the Pool day, Kaupeka and Tumu went on last Friday, we went to Waltham pool. Once we went to the pool the teachers talk to us then we put on sunscreen then let it dry and then hopped in the pool and swam around!!!!!!

After 2 hours everyone got out of the pool and put on more sunscreen. Then Tumu went on the hydro slide, then after an hour we/my hub went on the hydro slide.
It was really fun at Waltham pool.

Market Day 🍭🍭🍭

and today I will be telling you about the St Francis Of Assisi market day. All of the kids from across the hubs a going to be man handling there own stand. In my group there Monique, Joanna, Andres and myself, Tamera. For the country we choose to base our stand off of

was New Zealand and the thing we chose to sell are New Zealand inspired lolly bags, we are putting

Pineapple Lumps,Jaffa's,Pascal party pack,Fruit Burst and Whitaker's mini chocolate bars! And the

name of our brand is Sweet Tooth for all those people with sweet tooth's.

We are having the market day on the 4th of December!

(Update)
On the market day we had 48 lolly bags and we sold out in under an HOUR!!!!
all up we made $100!!!! we thought we did really well. But the group that made the most was the Donut Queens with around $400! All up our hub made $2000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The market was fun

and today I will be telling you about St Francis Of Assisi's book character day. So everyone got to dress up as there favourite book character. Some people were from Harry Potter,Disney Princess, but me and my friends were the mickey mouse group. Monique was Minnie,Samantha was Mickey, Beccy was Pluto, Roza was daisy and I was Donald duck but the girl version that isn't daisy.

It was such a fun day!!

Koru Games 2018!!!!!

And today I will be telling you abuot Koru games 2018. For Koru games I played soccer with Joanna,Charlotte,Amber,Taylor,Hannah,Roza,Samantha,Beccy,Olivia,Katie and myself.I had never played soccer before, so at Koru games it was my first time playing soccer so I didn't know the rules. But we played lots of games and got close to getting a goal lots of times but we never got the ball in the goal but at the end we thought we did good for only have two people that knew how to play and only have Charlotte (Charlotte knows how to play) for our 3 games.

But overall I think everyone had and amazing 3 days down at prebbleton playing soccer with our wonder coach/Marian girl Maddie

and today I will be telling you about the shared lunch we had at my school, first we were randomly given a country, my country was the Philippians. We had to research and food or drink from that country! The food I brought from the Philippians was kebabs. The food I tried was Chip from fish'n'chips then I got Corn chips and salsa.Then from the sweet stuff I got Vanilla Ice cream, animal biscuits and tartufo. After we had eaten we were sent off to write this blog.

The food I had and everyone else had was Delicious and a amazing way to learn about different cultures through food.

Teacher Strike!!!

That the strike is a good idea not because we got the day off school but to recognise what the teachers need like more time to teach!!

Tech!!!

And today I will be telling you about Tech. In tech I have done cooking,plastics and right now I am doing fabrics. In fabrics we (my group) are making cushions! I am making the back of my cushion right now, I am a bit behind because I was away for 2 weeks (In Auckland for Katy Perry the first Monday and them the second Monday I was in the Gold Coast) but I am catching up quickly! My cushion has a pink background and a rainbow front.

Netball Prize Giving

Today I am telling you about prize giving that happened on Sunday the 9th of September at St Francis Of Assisi school. We went along at 11:am and played 5 minute games, Kids VS Parents! For our game I didn't know the score. Then after the games were finished, we moved into the actual prize giving, Ellen got Most In proved player and the most valuable player was Beccy and Samantha and all of us got little goody bags. After that we did a shared lunch but I didn't stay for that.

Science!!!

And today I am telling you about my science fair project witch is a balloon powered car, I am going to be sharing by question, background research and my hypothesis so here we go ⇩

how does the surface of a balloon powered car effect how far it will travel?

Background research⇩

The action of the wheel on a bumpy surface can cause friction, and that will make the car stop. on rough surfaces the car wheels can create more friction than it would on smoother surfaces.

Friction is very important to this experiment. It will help us determine how the Balloon powered car will go. There are different types of friction one is the sliding friction example smooth lino.

The other friction is Static it is when it will be harder to move the car across grass, it could be short grass that could be easier than longer grass.

Hypothesis⇩

a balloon powered car can travel smoother on a flat surface would make it go further!

Caritas Live it Challenge (24 hours at school!!!)

And I have a story for you!!! On Friday the 18th to Saturday the 19th I stayed at school for the night for the Caritas challenge,

Ok the day begins a 9:00am on Friday

We arrived at school with all of our stuff to stay the night with

• boxes
• tarps
• night bag with warm clothes and toothbrush and toothpaste
• sleeping bag/blackets
• yoga mat to sleep on

We put are bags in the breakout space (a small space to work in) and moved all the boxes in to empty room 8 (well not so empty with all the boxes to make are shelters with)
and then we set of with our day.
Once the bell rang for us to go to class we did the roll, then we gave all of our fundraising forms to see who the top three fundraisers were. I came third with fundraising $115!!! I got a t-shirt but I got last pick so I got red!

We all collected our wristbands, after that we went to mass/church and came back and went to morning tea play, that goes for 15 minutes. Normally after that we would come in for 15 minutes, have a story read and eat our food but not this time! We came back in from play and sat down and a person from the City Mission came and talked to us. After that we went down to the Anti-Bullying Assembly in the library.
After the Assembly we came back upstairs for a talk before saying grace and going out for lunch. We played for 45 minutes and ate for 15 minutes and then onto our Move It challenge but I was helping organising the Sweat It team second hand market. When I came back up with Beccy, Joanna, Monique, Alisha, Conner, and we had are lunch by the playground. We went back in to the library to continue setting up. 2 hours later we opened for business. We had a huge success. We raised $407.75c. We had to pack up!!! We missed the announcing of the groups but our groups that we were in came and got us to start building our cardboard shelters!!!!



Then once we finished we moved our stuff in and set up. By then it was dark out side, so we went and had our cup of plain rice for dinner.
Then we played hide'n'seek, spot light and go home stay home.
It was a fun night, but then sleeping in our shelter!!!! I was so hot so I was in PJ shorts, thermal with a unicorn onesie on top and let me remind I was sleeping out side!!!
Then we woke up at 6:25am because someone in my group accidentally woke me up. Then it continued. Once we were all up we went and got breakfast of 2 pieces of bread with butter. Once breakfast was over we got changed into our clothes then packed up our shelter.
Of to netball I went,
It was an amazing experience.
